About The Shot: The untamed Johanna Beach is a favourite spot of mine and I think this shot gives a good illustration of the environment you’ll be dealing with if you go there. Green rolling hills make their way down to massive dunes covered in scrub, the beach undulates and falls away fast, giving way to massive and brutal waves with a strong undertow. The wind whips past the cape, wafting massive plumes of sea spray across the cliffs and in between the scalloping of bays along the coast as well as contributing to the so rapidly changeable weather.
